Member: 7911 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | I don't think it's _extremely_ dangerous, but I have to admit that a lot of people have managed to destroy their Panasonics while playing around with them. It seems that 99%+ of the problems have occured when trying to reflash the phone - especially when doing it for the first time, with an unknown computer/serial port/cable combination. My suggestion would be to start by reflashing the Language pack only (MAIN and BOOT red, LANGUAGE green in WinMoDo) to check things out - this has the big advantage that even if it goes completely wrong your phone will still work (but in English only) and you can then try and sort things out at your leisure - rather than having a boot-erased-will-die-completely-once-the-battery-goes-flat Panasonic timebomb to deal with. There probably is a tutorial somewhere, but I can't think of where off the top of my head. |
