hi i need to unlock an at&t gu87 i have read all the posts but nothing so far..
can someone please tell me what i can try again ..
whats the difference with an unlock cable and a data cable i opened up the cable and i saw a 74hct14n ic i'm not to sure on what kinda of cable i have i bought an unlock cable and this is what i got it reads codes from a gd68 so i am not sure. i am trying to flash with winmodo and i am getting error invalid command. can someone please send me the flash files for the GU87..

With free software you do need to downgrade. Use regular GD87 flash files.

no needs for flashing !!!

Flashing so dangerous of Panasonic for NewBie's

Just do with the very safe way !!!

tried crd didnt work i figured out the problem was my cable it was able to unlock gd68's but not this gu87 the reason was the gnd pin on the cable was going to the power pin on the phone not gnd..
problem now solved

however i have crd and i cannot get it to work at all i dont know if i am doing something wrong but no go from crd...

With crd you need a powered cable. Otherwise it puts the phone into test mode (so it says on the phone's screen) but reports that it did not.

My griffin box came with a serial to RJ45 adaptor with alligator clips for a battery. I have been using that successfully with CRD.

you can simply use COM1 cable !!!!!!! for CRD

With regular serial cable and GU87 I can not read codes in CRD! Phone goes to test mode but no recognition of this on CRD! With powered cable 100% OK!
