Unhappy New Sim Card ' Security Failure'???


Hi i have just purchased a second hand Panasonic GD87e from the market and the man said insert a new 'Pay As You Go' (Orange) Sim card and the phone will work straight away. So i purchased a new Orange sim card and inserted it but every time i turn the phone on it come up with the message ' SECURITY FAILURE' and none of the phone is accesable?? whats going on?? can anyone help??

To bad you bought a Blacklisted phone i have had this problem before. you have two chooses now

1) sell the phone for parts it useless
2) change the imei number.

NOTE..
changing imei numbers in the uk is ilegal 5yrs in proison

u can sell it to someone oversea in your case ...

it can be used oversea.

^o^! good man...and it's usually selling at a very good price..

all stuffs in UK are more expensive except milk, cheese, yogurt and mobile phone...

So my phone is totally useless?? i cant change the IME number can i ??

Is it worth phoneing Orange up and telling them whats happened??

instead of phoning up orange....

IMEI change is possible...but just it's illegal as what u saw in the post before

calling orange......what they tell u is ......give the phone to police for investigation= throw it into your rubbish bin at home

but where i live in england there are many african people buying
barred phones but good prices i think not perhaps in london
things are different they come to my shop and offer F ALL
because they no phone is usless here
