Winmodo problem..........no download - GSM-Forum

I have all that is required to upgrade my firmware to A39. I have a GD87 usb cable (Com Port 6) installed which normally works with my phone manager. I have done what the instructions say, Winmodo has browsed to the Language pack and A39 pack all blocks are green, Com port 1 is set and the baud rate is 115200. I have tried Com Port 6 at 115200 & 9200 baud....When I hit the "Start download button", I get a "Signalling" indication in the "Progress Report Window" and then nothing seems to happen. I have left it in that state for well over 1/2 hour with no change. When I get fed up and hit the "Stop download button", I get a "Download terminated by user" indication in the "Progress Report Window"................there didn't appear to be any download over that time.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated..

You need to press the power button on the phone when it says "Signalling" in winmodo, the text will change in the window, when it does, let go of the power button & let it do it's thing (takes about 16 mins on mine).
