FAQ about BB5 RPL

RPL files are special files for Nokia phones, that helps you to repair some software problems such as :

• Corrupted IMEI Certificate (NPC)
• Corrupted Simlocks (Contact Retailer)
• Phone switches off after 3 minutes (secure WD reset)
• Blocked phone unlock counter

Common symptoms to show corrupted data:

• Contact Retailer( ST_SECURITY_TEST failed, SIM_LOCKS_TEST failed)
• IMEI number shown as default: 123456789012345
• Switch off after 3 seconds, missing or invalid NPC certificate will cause reset of the RAP3 WD
• Not working Transmitter/Receiver or Not Charging (those could be caused by faulty HW also!)

Also, before sending your ASK file in allGSMunlock, please make sure it's in JAF PLAIN format, last example in the following photo:

How To Read Ask File Using JAF Box ..( Important Need To Ticked Plain Ask )

Start Jaf Latest Software ,Attach Cable Press Check Or Info To Be Sure Your Mobiles Phone is Connecting Properly

After Click CRT Tool



Now Must Be Tick On Plain Ask & Select Ask And Give It Location Where You Want To Save ,



Now Press Read Ask It Will Create Ask File




Upload this readed file to ALLGSMUNLOCK SERVER And Get your RPL !

How To Read Ask File Using MTBOX

Connect Box To Pc & Open Software
Read Phone Info & Go To BB5 Ask File TAB



Press Read BB5 Ask FIle & Its Ask You Location .Save IT

After you do like above you jsut send the ask file in allgsmunlock server
After you get RPL
now time to write it in phone

How to write RPL using JAF


After connect cabel please MAKE SURE THAT PHONE IS IN TEST MODE otherwise RPL will not be write back correctly and some errors may occur



after write RPL make

SX4 authentification and write modified PM without PM 308 and better if it is from the same version of your phone

make factory setting

ATTENTION!!!

ASK/RPL calculation will NOT UNLOCK YOUR PHONE !!!
ASK/RPL calculation will NOT CHANGE IMEI, but it will repair it if is 123456xxxxxx as it was original before

As an advice:

DO NOT ERASE THE PHONE, IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
For example for N91 if you erase your phone without making CRT Backup you will loose variant certificate which is NOT RESTORED by RPL. So you can't repair Contact Retailer even you got rpl.

Better to ask here about your problem. Also first thing you must do when you get a phone make CRT and PM backup. It will save you.

Here is some info about the phone when you make backup.

1. If NPC crt is empty then you maybe have an empty board. In this case RPL will NOT WORK
2. If Variant is empty then someone erased the phone and the RPL may not solve the problem.
3. If other crt have missing or not present message its normal message.

Always make selftests with Simlock and Security. It will show you what is the best way to repair your phone.

When you want to make SX4 auth and you have Error receive SX4 data error 2 there are two possibilities:
1. You have corrupted simlock data (here is included CLOSED (001-01))
2. Variant certificate is missing from the phone.

Erasing is the last option.
