very helpful: Downgrade iOS 4.1 to 4.0.2 or 4.0.1

I bought my 3GS off craigs list. Problem is the seller said it was locked to O2 and he got it unlocked. But here its written that MC140 only belongs to T Mobile. I need help if its T mobile UK or O2 UK.

EDIT: Seller is not replying so its of no use.

It will show the operator name (only if your phone has been activated before)

Operator supported for unlock in allGSMunlock server: Movistar Spain, O2 United Kingdom, Orange UK, Orange France, SFR France, Orange Poland, Orange United Kingdom, T-Mobile Netherlands, Vodafone Australia

Devices which are swapped in service can not be unlocked with new IMEI. We need the phone's original IMEI, so in case you get 'not in database' reply, then you need to send us the phone's old IMEI.

UNLOCK INSTRUCTIONS:

- Install the latest iTunes version
- Make sure phone is updated to latest version by official iTunes software
- Connect phone to iTunes with not accepted (not valid) simcard
- Wait until iTunes detects phone
- Now disconnect phone and reconnect after 10 seconds.
- Phone Unlocked.
NOTE : This is the only "lifetime" unlock solution for Apple iPhone as the IMEI is registered as "Unlocked" in Apple database. Your phone will always be unlocked even after each new update of your phone firmware !

In case when u attach with iTunes and it says there is no simcard in the phone , in this case you have to put a SUPPORTED simcard inside the phone and than attach iTunes , once its synchronized after disconnect and put an unsupported simcard in and follow the procedure .
Hello guys, I've just found this forum !! is it still working ?? if yes, how can I add my IMEI to the server ?? my i phone shows :
Carrier Lab 8.0
MB716LL
big big thanks

I have an iPhone 4, from Orange UK, model: MC603B. A few questions:

1. I've seen info about MC603B/A, does "/A" at the end of the model no. make any difference ? Is MC603B and mC603B/A any different ?

2. I inserted an Airtel, India sim card in it and it iTunes showed it "unsupported". Now assuming it's factory unlocked, as I read on the forum, do I have to follow the below mentioned steps to get my Airtel, India SIM working in it without really jailbreaking/unlocking it with limera1n/untrasn0w:

- Insert official Orange, UK SIM into the iPhone and connect it to UK
- Wait for it being activated and for the message "Congratulations, your iPhone is now unlocked" to appear
- Take out Orange, UK SIM and insert Airtel, India SIM into it and expect to see Airtel GSM signal on the phone

Or is it that my assumption of it being factory unlocked is wrong and to use it with Airtel, India, jailbreaking and unlocking is the only solution.

Thanks ina dvance for the help, folks.
