To measure the temperature, use the thermometer included in the tornado infra package and place the tip near/around the reworked area. This product is specially made for reworking BGA's, flex, plastic parts, and the lead free IC's. Br, Last edited by ren77; 10-06-2008 at 07:40. | |

| @jkniji You can use the normal aluminum foil found on supermarkets normally used for food keeping. Just wrap it around to cover the components you won't be heating. Check photo. Br, Ren |

| I just bought Tornado infra pro handheld for desoldering glue leadfree iphone logic board but it seem to get long time to melt leadfree and also get high risk to burn the board? So is it important to combine with preheater? is that the best way? Do I need to cover the other ICs and components around and downside of the board? Please help? |

| yes pre heater required , cause pre heater can done half job. by heating circuit for 4 min... now infra can take small time to finish work.. but mind it infra only give heat not with air like hot air gun. pre heater very usefull with both for infra or hot air gun too |
