Hi, Im just wondering how much visable light is emitted from the tornado IR station and if any, does it effect how much of the board you can see?

The tornado IR station emits light between with wavelenght of 2- 10 microns and is not visible. The ceramic heating element radiates heat directly to the reworked area.
And yes it affects the board you can see, means you should point direct to the reworked ic or area with distance around 2 -4cm.
