Trying to unlock this model and it has firmware RH-93 version 5.03 on it, that's not available in support. Would I need the same file version to unlock this phone or can I upgrade it to v7.2 thats available in support and unlock it using that version?

yes you can unlock on any version there is no need to have specific version. br tested on all versions

I tried unlocking with version 7.2 even though the phone had version 5.03 and after i had selected the file it seemed as if it was going to work but when it got to the erasing part, the operation failed. Phone would not power on after this. I tried the unlock operation once again but phone would not power up hence the operation kept failing.
I then proceeded to flash the phone to version 7.2 and once completed, the phone powered on. However, after unlocking, phone does not detect my network. Please help.
