Pinfinder problem at Infinity plus combo edition - GSM-Forum

Hello!
I've bought a new Infinity plus! combo edition box (red color), installed all necessary drivers, and all is working fine except the pinfinder.
When I start Pinfinder application it shows me my virtual COM port, but it cannot detect the Pinfinder and shows error: "too many retries (4)".

What should I do, and also, is there any method to repair it by myself?

Hello,

Please double check, do you really have Combo box ?
Does it has DB26 connector ?

Yes, it has. And with the box I also have a special cable with two wires with "crocodile" clamps and a pack of adapters for it.
I also have 2 similar cables with my Volcano and Dragon boxes.

Do you have only one COM port in system ?
I mean - are you sure box has COM3 port ?

Yes, I'm sure. My system have COM1 port on mainboard, and when I connect the Infinity box, COM3 port also appears in Device Management.

If this could help, I'm using Windows 7 SP1 x64.
Maybe there is some issue with the box drivers, or something like that?

It was a couple of weeks since I've asked my question.
And I still haven't got any information about it.
Are there any ways to solve my problem?

Hello,
To be honest its hard for me to give you good advice why PinFinder can not be detected.
W7x64 is well supported.
But if you have Volcano and Dragon you can use its hardware with Infinity software as well - http://server1.infinity-box.com/down...ion_device.pdf

Download latest Dongle manager and perform Read Serial number operation, post result here.

Hello,

Try to connect Dongle to another PC
Try to insert Smart-Card into another Card-Reader or Box

If problem still exist:
- Remove Smart-Card from Card-Reader
- Clean Smart-Card contacts
- Try to use hot air gun and heat Smart-Card
- Insert Smart-Card back to Card-reader

Result?
