| Ok... I had the same problem but now it's solved! 1. inside a little black box at the end of the cable, is a small board with some wire connections and some components, there are some transparent components that are called fuses, they are quite fragile. As I understand, they regulate the ammout of power transmitted to the phone so U don't damage any component with a possible power-spike. These fuses tend to **** very easy, and that's why the box says no FBUS interface. You can mesure this easy with a multimeter or if you don't have one, simply attach the cable to the box and attach the power-tweesers to a graphic card cooling fan, and you will see if it has power or not. they should output abou 4V. 2. The second option is (if the fuses are ok) that you didn't follow the propper connection procedure: a) connect the red tweeser to the positive power peg on the phone b) connect the black tweezer to the middle power peg on the phone c) connect the data cable to the phone (either DKU2 or Mini-USB) VERY IMPORTANT: only now U connect the cable to the BOX d) press the power button on the phone so it goes into TEST or LOCAL mode. If the button goes attached to the frame or chassis, simply short the contacts on the board with a wire or a tweeser. e) whait 3 or 4 seconds and fixate the "aligator" ground connector to a shield nearest to the Testpoint location. Be carefull not to damage any components with it. f) now try it out and see if the box detects the phone, press "read phone info". That's it!... Hope this was helpfull. |
