Post Protected Board?

Hello,

I am asking for your help here.

How do I get around the problem of boards being protected?

I am trying to unlock a 6300 via testpoint, but it seems impossible due to this "protection"

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Also, image attached.

Thanks

Broonie

Hello, Thanks for quick response.

There seems to be metal covers soldered over the areas that I need to testpoint.
These metal covers are as described in the picture.

Thanks

Thumbnail underneath the lip of the cover and pull up!
They dont need to go back on.
The covers are not soldered on(not on this model at least)

Guess a guitar pick would be the best thing to use then.

So they just literally come off simple like that?

Then why did they even bother putting them on? To make them look fancy? :\

Thanks Dan

Do most ppl realy put them back on?
Ive done loads, left the covers off, none have come back.
Jeez if your going to be that meticulous about it then should discard the removed screen
and replace with a new one,,,as do nokia service centres!

Im not entirely sure why they are there tho,
prob just protection for when the board is out of its case, static ect?
