dead n82 after trying to unlock it? - GSM-Forum

before a few days i unlocked a n82 with TRK and jaf. To make the phone go to local mode i used a 9v external battery to VCC and GND.. The bsi was at 7.5ohm from UFC..

Today, i had another n82 and tried to do the same, the phone did nothing, after a few minutes i got the phone in my hands and i saw that it was TOO HOT. I touched the battery and was very very hot too. I disconnected them immediatly but the n82 seems like dead. Doesn't open and i can't read it on JAF..

any idea? is it really dead?

Check ur ( + and - ) connector if shorted then it will be (pa) try to remove it and turn on the phone if this not help then go to Nokia Hardware & Hardware-Repair Area Section and post ur problem there may be they can help u

resistant between (+ and gnd) = 0

how to check that? i just put the battery back to phone and try to turn it on.. :/

sorry to say that
it is Hardware problem
if u do not know how to use avometer and hot air
then u will send that phone to shop to repair it
