Wrote wrong pm file to phone. Now phone is dead - GSM-Forum

I think I accidentally used the wrong file when I clicked Write PM. Phone powers on briefly but no display, then flashes 3 times before switching off. Can't connect it to bb5box, mt-box or PC.

It's a Nokia N73 and I think I clicked on a 6280 bin file. I have the proper bin, but I can't connect the phone at all to flash.

Is there anything that can be done?

try to flash via USB .using DEAD USB mode use JAF

Yes it's the best solutiom dont tick backup and 308 backupa when flashing in jaf

u can bot flash N73 with dead usb the only solution is to flash it with the current version of the phone USING FBUS CABLE and write back the correct PM

Thanks for the replies

Don't have any JAF hardware, so I can't try the dead usb flash. Trying again now to flash the backup bin file to the phone, but windows xp is saying that the device has malfunctioned, isn't recognised.

wrong pm doesnt dead mobiles only damage security area possible to create signal or contact service only

that why i told you to not use usb connection so the only thing is to bring the phone to some one who has jaf or ub or hwk to fix you problem

ps : try to cennect thge phone again with you bb5 box and see if the phone can enter to test mlode if yes just write back the correct buckup

Yeah sorry, meant to mention that but couldn't edit the post

I've tried connecting FBUS with advancebox, mt-box and bb5box with no luck. no response from phone at all.

i've passed it off to another tech, thanks for the advice though!

This section is support for bb5 box by DK , NOT for other box and product supporter can not help you with other box problems . In future post your problems in proper section or in Nokia BB5 general section. All futured posts will be deleted if have no connection with BB5 box by DK.
