6300 and 6280 can't unlock anymore - GSM-Forum

hi,

i cannot unlock anymore 6300 with hw id=5000 upgrade and downgrade always unlocking error 08 also 6280 with already full key code and fbus counters before i unlock no use to restore baclup lock data and counters cannot be reset.

does v-spec still works on new version of jaf?

i have read somewhere on this forum v-spec a dead project, is this true?

waiting on news to clear-up these things

I tend to agree with you - VSpec is a great idea but poor implementation/execution. It is my firm belief now that anyone wanting to unlock a BB5 phone should use MTBox or AdvancedBB5 or similar.

To answer your question about the 6300, most people with unlock problems have managed to fix it by downgrading to v5.0 and then unlocked it.
