NOT answered or Solved

Why you put [ANSWERED & SOLVED] in heading ????

The problem was NOT solved except by poster using another method NOT microbox

Is that what you mean by customer solving problems having to use another solution.
This is not satifactory ANSWER or SOLVING and heading should be removed as giving false information.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm angry BUT there seems to be a problem with 7290 unlocking as now 3 users in this thread cant unlock these and you say problem resolved. I cant see any information in this thread that has resolved this issue except to use someone elses solution.

I have downloaded v1.0.3.1 and still cant get any connection between BB and microbox YET get connection with BB desktop manager.

If manager not running then Microbox just stays in searching mode for hours IF manager running then Microbox shoew search bar but ends with phone not found.

I dont see any other posts or threads showing success in microbox section.

The imei is 357778001560317 its locked to T-Mobile UK
I'm in no hurry to unlock this, I just want to see Microbox unlock it as Ive tested MB with 9000 bold and 9500 storm both done in minutes.

I downloaded that reader and when I click on "read phone" that just stays on "waiting for blackberry phone"
Then says "unable to open blackberry phone"

in BB desktop manager it it shows as "device connected (PIN): Blackberry 7290 (24F9A11C)

So obviously PC is seeing it and the two cables Ive tried must be ok.

Am I doing something wrong?

I dont know. Ive looked all through menus and cant find anything relating to Policy IT. Can you give hint as to where to look as I dont use blackberry myself. This one was passed onto me to play with before I pass it on to some deserving person.
