Htc desire urgent help - GSM-Forum

Tried to unlock this desire followed procedure but when going thru alpharev stopped half way through and now phone is stuck on htc white screen????

Can anyone tell me how i can sort this out please???

Try to flash with original HTC desire rom first and then follow the whole procedure to unlcok.

Should work.

I successfully flashed mine desire with following rom, if u want u can try this.

RapidShare AG, Cham, Switzerland

Steps:
copy the rom zip file in memory card and insert into phone.
Take out battery and insert again.
Hold vol Down button and press power button.
phone will boot in recovery mode.
select recovery, now phone will reboot in recovery.
select install zip from sd card, then select zip file to install.
Select the rom file from the list of files in the card.
make sure the phone is charged properly.
It will take some time.; after it's finished reboot the phone.
Phone should work fine.

i am now getting a black screen with clockworkmod at the top and zip wont install??

try to get an original rom from htc and than install that rom with same procedure. if u can't find from htc then google it and keep on try until u can't find the compatible rom for your phone. Thats what i did when i had same problem.

After many wasted hours I found a little piece of software that sorted my problem out in 20mins.

It was a gold card creator.

Used the prog to make the cad in 30 secs added the required rom.

Booted to hboot and rom installed and all working fine.

I used a code to unlock as it was safer and 100 times easier.

Thanks for all the pointers guys.

Got there in the end.....
