Do not do drugs and unlock Sprint phones... First off, I've reverse engineered the L720 MDC international unlock. The program sends OEM commands to get into the nvm/num folder and change nv item 10124 to "30" in hex. NOTE that 4.2.2 (or as most of you are familiar with the specific build MDC) the nvm folder was UNLOCKED for read/write after sending the 16 char password and SPC. 4.3 and onwards the nvm folder was locked even AFTER sending the 16 char password which is why downgrading to MDC modem was necessary. Fast forward and the Note 3 and S5 came with 4.3 and above. If you try to take a nv dump you'll find that 10124 has access denied. The ONLY way to write to this was through QPST's EFS file explorer on a 4.2.2 modem after sending the 16 char password and SPC. We now cannot even do that because...the nvm folder is locked and we do not have the option of downgrading to a 4.2.2 modem. |
