Man box cable mean phone must bo power on normaly with usb debugging turn on in it and need select in spt software correct comport that your sptbox is installed and speed 115k selected.

No man just disable smartcard in device manger and use software when you turn it on with admin right will work 100% if not mean your box is not activated and need active it by activation software that all.
SPT SOFTWARE WORK EVEN in WINDOWS 8 32 or 64bit then with software and box all is ok.
