SPT Box NOT working[ANSWERED] - GSM-Forum

Hi guys @ SPT, is there a way to reset the box itself, every time I connect the BOX to the computer it says failed to install drivers. The drivers are already installed and the box WAS working b4 so what happen? there was NO change to the computer or files, the BOX just stop working. When I start the software there is NO ports. Somebody told me that could the be the epfrom inside the box that is messed up. Any help will be greatly appreciated

insatall agin ther is no bug

bro go ahead and unstall the previouse setup and install new one afresh work done

Install as new device using FTDI drivers

When a problem in the definitions com SPT possible solution

All Drivers Are Located in { C:\Program Files\SPT\Drivers } Folder.

If Drivers is not Install may Be you have to Reinstall Your Windows..

All Ways Use Latest SPT Software.. Keep Windows Clean From Virus and Driver Problems.

Check Your Box on other PC..

i got same problem after 2 month stop working this is my 2nd box same problem no spt box driver i try every one of them same
no comport any help plz

Try using a dff box to install drivers same results.

KEEP IN MIND, this is NOT a new box, I've been using it for at least 6 months, DRIVERS ARE in the same place NO CHANGES WERE MADE to either Windows/drivers/computer files. I do work in computers and I'm not a noob per-say so I know how to install drivers, the problem is the box itself. I connected the BOX 2 days ago to the same computer I use everyday and did not work, just stop working, tried on a different computer same results, reinstalling windows DOES NOT WORK. HAVE 4 COMPUTERS 3 with windows 7, 1 with windows XP, SAME RESULTS. There is something wrong with the configuration inside the box, it might had reset itself i do not know.

Thats why I'm trying to get help now, I do NOT want to buy another box if the same problem keeps happening. so SPT people any solutions ideas, besides buying a new box???????

Install latest FTDI VCP Drivers: Virtual COM Port Drivers

This worked when I installeld the BOX the 1st time, I already have these drivers and still does not work. I really dont think is a driver issue. Something happened to the box that is not being recognized by the computer anymore.

Possible reason:

1. Box hardware fault
2. Box internal config (eeprom data) fault

How to fix:

1. Open your box and check its PCB. Replace damaged parts if need

2. Here is files and instruction: server1 download area
Yes, after re-program you will get COM port with name "Infinity-Box" or just "FTDI" but actually its not so important for phone repair process

I just had the same problem and I cannot install any driver and when it does allow install the computer blue screens.
I think its a crappy or knock off ftdi chip.
I ordered a new FT232RL and will replace and post results.

I do have a question.. Does anyone with the spt also have the SELG box. If so can you disassemble and compare components to the spt.

SELG Fusion Box SE Tool Pack w/o smart-card (10 cables) - GsmServer

Maybe I buy some of these if they are the same or similar so when spt craps out again I can just use this other interface and not have to wait on a replacement part.
