G730A signal error fixed/solved!

Hello. I fixed this error. I will post the steps.

1. Download QPST and make a backup of your QCN!!! THIS IS MOST THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!

2. Unlock your phone with Z3X Box.

3. Repair Your IMEI with the Z3X Box.

4. When your phone boots, check in the status that your IMEI is showing. If not, Repair your IMEI again.

5. At this point your phone should have no signal and your IMEI should be showing.

6. Open QPST and Restore your QCN file . You should have this file already. If it says error when trying to restart the phone don't worry. Just restart the phone manually.


The most important thing I learned from unlocking these new samsungs is backing up your QCN file. I had to do this with a Galaxy Mega and now this Galaxy S3 mini. Because YOU WILL LOSE SIGNAL after your unlock your phone using the Z3X box. I wish the developer of the Z3X box would not destroy the QCN file when he develops the unlocks for the new samsungs but he does. Hope this helps people.

Disclaimer: There are steps I did not include. Most should be common knowledge if you are unlocking phones. You use this information at your own risk, this is the way I fixed my phone. If it doesn't work for you, don't blame me.

I can share the QCN file but how do I remove the IMEI? Do you know how to edit the QCN file? Waiting for your reply.


EDIT: I figured it out. I'm going to find a way to host the file, so people can download it. The QCN file will have a IMEI of all 0's. Then you can edit your imei with Z3x box.

Is that the Canadian model? I just read about that phone and its my understanding they are already unlocked.

So I'm not sure what would happen if you used my QCN file for your phone. You can try it, but if your phone blasts off into space or the sky gets dark don't blame me.

i did get error saying couldnt communicate when resseting but i just did manual reset and worked! ? idk but just glad its unlocked and 4g running !!!

I downloaded QCN files...but how can I change IMEI with Z3X?

Usually I'm using EFS Pro...I tried to change IMEI with EFS Pro...but couldn't read correctly.
