same problem when i dongrade to 6.0 camera stopped working

wipe everything, hard reset the phone from recovery menu then shut it down then flash again with 6.0 then reroot then patch.

I tried repair imei and patch cert for the same phone model on android 7... at some point it works but then I get a popup on the phone screen saying the sim count has changed and phone needs to restart, once it restarts I lose the network again and the phone thinks it's dual sim... I tried the Z3X set sim count but when phone reboots the imei is gone then I restart phone and the imei is back but it's NG then I do patch cert again and the phone starts with that same popup saying sim mode changed phone needs to reboot.... and so on!

Imei patch not working in 7 you need to downgrade

Yes we all know that but Z3X developers seem to think that it's supported so I'm trying to point out the bugs and show where the patching fails on Android 7

I flashed superman rom, used g930fd to write second IMEI, then repaired network and it works fine with dual sim.

If you use a custom kernel based off g930f it should work I believe. Have not tested it yet with g930w8 firmware, only g930f firmware but I think it should also work, maybe I'll assemble a twrp flashable file for building a IMEI repairable g930w8.
