is there an easy way around the g935f on android 8 root?

Are you asking about rooting the s7 edge or do you want to remove the root?

To root this model on 7.0 / 8.0 you flash a custom recovery TWRP via ODIN boot the custom recovery after flashing don't boot to OS (Make sure you leave OEM unlocking always enabled in developer options or else phone will brick).

Then you flash the dm_verity opt in recovery to disable encryption as it doesn't work with root (after flashing dm verity make sure you reboot recovery). You'll then need to do a wipe data / factory reset in the custom recovery (Formatting the data partition may be needed as well).

There is no way that I know of where you can root the phone without factory resetting it on this model. And Knox will be 0x1 void of course after doing this.
