No, don't update before any operation. Do all possible backups. Even if z3x works without bugs, your computer (computer it self, windows probs, cable probs, energy goes kaput, etc) can make operation go bad, and if you only backup cert, without efs, nvm, sec, etc backups, you can be in (deep) trouble! Don't bypass the time it takes to do all possible backups, otherwise you can spend even more time to fix! Also, you need to keep those backups safe. Who knows if you going to need them later. Imagine that a customers phone have problems in future. If he gets back to you, its possible that you have more ways to repair said phone! Best regards | |
