How to unlock U880 - GSM-Forum

Hi can you tell me how to unlock this phone? It's working phone but it's with small SIM CARD. How to unlock this phone? to download this file from SPECIAL u880 flash file with patch and to cut some sim card? Is it possible to work with 32/64k sim card or only with 128k? I'm from Bulgaria and this phone will be used here is it some problem, maybe with network?

Is nesesery always when power off the phone and power on with other sim card to inser the some code for unlock?

1. Download firmware from "_Special.." folder.
2. Run LGQ.
3. Press "Search phone" button.
4. Select firmware.
5. Press "Flash" button.
6. Press "Unlock" button.
7. Cut sim card.
8. Use phone

Yes this phone support 32/64k sim card

after doing this unlock do you have to type in 142358#*# every time you turn it on?

No , this is normal direct unlock , you do not need to do any additional operations.

So what is the difference between the unlock i used and this one? and why do i have to type in that number everytime i turn it on?

This unlock allows you to use any sim card in the U880?

As I said clear, you dont need to type codes every time.
You can use any SIM 32/64/128Kb.
