i337 S4 Unlock MSL error messages - GSM-Forum

Samsung Galaxy S4 i337 4.4.2 rooted
Null IMEI which appears to be repaired.

When I attempt to unlock the phone I get a Bypassing Error message. If I attempt to reset the MSL, I get a Resting MSL Security Error message. If I attempt to repair the SN, I get a Bypass MSL error message.

What am I doing wrong that I am getting all these error messages?

Does anyone understand the cause of these MSL errors?

Solved! As a newbie I was making a significant error, so I'll share my mistake in the hope that it may help someone else.

UNLOCK INSTRUCTIONS:

Micro-USB cable:
1. Phone must be powered on.
2. Type *#0808# and select 'DM+MODEM+ADB'.
3. Type *#9090# and choose 'DM/DUN over HSIC'. - DON"T WORRY ABOUT THIS IF YOU CAN'T ACESS *#9090#. I JUST RESET THE MSL.
4. Reboot phone.
5. Connect USB cable, install drivers if needed. - HERE IS THE SOURCE OF MY PROBLEM. THE INSTRUCTIONS DID NOT STATE, CONNECT USB CABLE TO PC, SO I CONNECTED TO MY Z3X BOX WHICH IS INCORRECT. CONNECT YOUR PHONE TO YOUR COMPUTER.
6. Select Samsung diagnostic port in port settings. - SELECT THE PORT ON YOUR COMPUTER THAT YOUR PHONE IS CONNECTED TO, NOT THE PORT THE BOX IS CONNECTED TO.
7. Press 'Unlock' button for direct unlock.

Done with Samsung Tool PRO v.21.1

NOTE: The same PC connection and port instructions apply to resetting the MSL.
