2013 April 4.2.2 I337MVLUAMDJ this is old security and it can be unlocked all the commands work too

I got my Z3X box. First time ever using this thing and was on 4.2.2 AMG1 firmware for a I337M. Wouldn't work and found this thread. Kept looking for a AMDJ firmware and finally did and everything worked once I downgraded. Got the *#7283# to work which doesn't with AMG1.

Now that I fixed my phone. Can I upgrade to 4.3 and then downgrade it back to 4.2.2 AMDJ when I need to use the box again? I read some conflicting reports that no you can't because of Knox but there is a workaround?
