i8160 wont read zip file - GSM-Forum

im trying to manually root this device but when i put the zip file on card and go to apply udate from sd card i cant find the zip file can anyone help please thanks

Did you tried internal/external sdcard? try both.

i put it on external memory card my s3 reads it fine

That's because since the latest devices (S3/S4 and etc) samsung started to use external sdcard instead internal.
in the old devices (S5360, I8150 and more) samsung using internal sdcard so you should try that.
From what i remember I8160 has internal memory.

sdcard could mean internal memory too.
when you choose 'install from sd card' what folders do you see?
