Try to use older software version, 16.7 or 16.2.

Sorry mate, we can be wrong, I agree, but U didn't post any solution at all.

GSMTOPSUD,
Try to flash 1 or 3-file fw via odin, then then reset EFS or write working EFS from another phone. If U will get still "Phone version: Unknown" and IMEI null, then U have hw problem (rf ic dead, broken).
