-= i9505 help with IMEI & UART mode problems...

Brothers, I hope you can help:

Phone is i9505 with 4.4.2 kitkat installed, using official samsung fw

Phone was given to me lost imei & screen had been replaced before so the original IMEI is gone. I have another that is broken motherboard and was replacing with the same IMEI.

I used z3x box and UART c3300k cable. I did :
Press *#7284# and select "Modem"
(Only show one option interface "UART")
*default setting: "PDA"
- Press *#9090# and select "4 - DM over UART"

Reprogrammed the new IMEI and phone accepts. Reboot phone insert sim, get Network Not Available or something... Basically cannot connect to network. After playing with APN settings etc... I decided to use repair EFS and Mobile Network option using microUSB cable.

Again I *#7284# and *#9090# changed everything to USB.

Completed repair everything says ok. Reboot phone... now MISSING IMEI

NOW THIS PART IS WHERE I HAVE PROBLEM:

*#7284# no longer goes to UART menu. So I choose *#9090#... I change to DM over UART. I enter imei in repair mode... rewrite imei success. Reboot phone... Phone still no IMEI.

My 1st question: is the IMEI specific to MNC-MCC? I realize that doesn't change. is the IMEI specific to serial?

My 2nd question: how come I cannot use *#7284# <--- when I do that nothing happens. I hit send and network error.

I always hate repair IMEI on samsung... rediculous...
