Member: 304933 Status: Offline Sonork: 100.1618191 Thanks Meter: 49 | i root it but stand one sumsun g logo Steps to root Rogers Samsung Infuse 4G SGH-I997R Step 1: In the root directory of your phone create a new folder named Voodoo. Step 2: Create a sub-folder named disable-lagfix in that Voodoo folder. Step 3: Now switch off your phone and download a rooting package named Odin_Infused_Gingerbread_Kernel_v1.zip in your computer which will take about 8MB space. Step 4: After downloading extract the files by using any ZIP extractor software into a folder on your computer. Step 5: Now right click on the Odin3_v1.81.exe to run it as Administrator from the popup menu. Step 6: Via USB cable connect your device to your computer. Step 7: Turn on your device into a download mode pressing and holding the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously. Step 8: ID:COM box in Odin3 must be highlighted in yellow. The COM number also visible in the box and if it is not highlighted then Odin3 has not detected your phone. Step 9: In the Odin3 click the PDA button. Step 10: Select PDA_Infused_Gingerbread_Kernel_v1.tar.md5 in the browser file dialog and then click on the start button. Step 11: The rooting will start and after its get completely installed, the device automatically gets rebooted. Step 12: Now detach your phone from computer and to verify the Superuser to check that your phone is rooted. Or install BusyBox app from the Android Market. |
