to unlock scv31 there is 3 major ways:

1 first way is very expansive = use new cert file.
2 second way is = fellows 7 steps and you need z3x and spt box :

1. Flash COMBINATION file via Odin, AP tab

2. Go dial type *#0808# and change to DM + MTP + ADB

3. Use z3x Pro, switch to repair tab and reset MSL

4. Save original imei to notepad, open SPT box, use UART C3303k cable then choose scv31 unlocked imei (you can get it from yahoo or rekuten japan), super any imei supported

5. Enter download mode and reflash FULL file split BL,AP,CP,CSC and Pit

6. Connect wifi then go setting - status - status sim card and you will got an update,choose yes and update it

7. Repeat step 1,2,3 for repairing imei but super original imei before.

8. Final step,relfash stock FULL again,enjoy with unlocked phone.

the 3 way is very simple and easy way you need only to send me your full backup by trwp i will put it into my phone unlocked the backup and returned the unlocked backup to you.

How to enter twrp recovery mode? After I flash the file I immediately press and hold volume up+power but it wont enter twrp recovery mode. I tried 2.8.6 version. When I press volume up + power, it just hang at Galxy S6 logo.

I've done everything as instructed but not working. It still shows Invalid sim after doing all that. I use both Z3x to reset MSL and SPT to change IMEI to super imei 358012XXXXXXXXX. Can anyone else confirm that it works?

First, big thanks to vietmobile.vn for sharing the files and ridal2011 for the instruction.

I finally got it to work with the help of user: gayansuranga. The step that I didn't do right was the update part where I have to go to Settings>About>SIMlock Status to update, not the phone software update.

Here's what I've done:

BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, WRITE DOWN THE ORIGINAL IMEI # somewhere. Make sure you know the original IMEI

1). Flash Combination file using Odin. After flashing, phone will be in Factory Binary Mode. Tab one Android logos at the bottom of the screen to get to dial pad and enter *#0808# and select DM+MTP+ADB then OK.

2). Use Z3X, select the SCV31 model and go to Repair tab and press on Reset MSL.

3). Write down the phone's original IMEI# somewhere and save it. Use SPT box. Select model G900H and go to Service tab and in Repair IMEI, enter this super IMEI : 358012060753038 (this is an original factory unlocked IMEI) Use C3300 UART cable. and write new IMEI to phone. After it finished, check to make sure you have the new IMEI in phone.

4). Flash FULL flash files (BL, AP, CP, CSC) and no need PIT file, using Odin.

5). After flashing full flash files, inset any SIM card, phone boots up and go to WIFI and turn on. Go to Settings>>About>>SIM card status. You should see Status: Not allowed. Tab on "Update SIM card status" at the bottom of the screen then wait until it finished and reboot. Go back to SIM card Status again and see if it shows Status: Allowed. If it is, then you're good to go to the next steps.

6). Repeat Step 1,2, and 3, except in Step 3, enter phone's ORIGINAL IMEI. After all steps done, check to make sure you have original IMEI in phone now.

7). Now flash FULL flash files (BL,AP,CP,CSC) again. After flashing is done, phone should be now UNLOCKED.

If you want to remove AU Japanese contents in ROM, you can flash this SPACX ROM using Odin:
