This was a pain in rear this phone.

Ok root first doing this

X212TMB X210 ROOT INSTRUCTIONS & UNLOCK GUIDE 100%



1)Enable developer options (7x build number) > usb debugging and oem
unlock if present

back up all on the phone, it will be factory reset

(you will need adb fastboot installed newbeis use search)

2) open adb windows and enter following commands


adb kill-server
adb kill-server

adb devices ( press always allow checkbox on phone then OK)

adb reboot bootloader

fastboot oem unlock (this will erase phone be sure all backed up before issueing this command)

fastboot flash boot root_boot.img

then reboot phone


after it boots up setup (can skip everything then enable usb debugging as before)


adb install MagiskManager-v5.5.5.apk
(Or downlaod and install to phone your choice)

after its installed send command

adb shell

(in shell) > su

(on phone will appear another popup to grant root access, tap grant)

i think both models are already supported without root since version 9.57

This isn't right manual. For unlock model you can't need root.

yes x210 cricket. The one I have doesn't take the unlock code and the counter remains at 10 attempts.

We support unlock this model with full counter.

cyc0d3d, I followed your instructions to the Tee. However, after I flashed the root_boot file and the phone booted up, I was unable to use the touchscreen and the pixels of the screen looked out of place after pressing the sleep/wake key. After pressing the sleep/wake again, the screen just stays black until I reset the battery.

Any idea on how to unbrick this. No firmware for X210APM.

Hmm I should have done more research to find out that you don't need root for this phone. Not sure why I read this thread, I guess it made me believe that you did need root. Just ended up wasting money and time.

This post pre dates the unlock method you refer to. If you need help fixing the device can message me directly. Be glad to help there is firmware for this

x210amp supported without root since version 9.57

new version is out for the pheonix 4 lm-x210apm this method not working no more
