my new Z3X box has only samsung tool 20.5 should It have samsung toolPRO too? - GSM-Forum

hello

I bought Z3X box 2 months ago, I also bought octopus box at same time. I have been using octopus on LG phones only and I do good with just that, but now I am going to do sammy phones. When I download the newest 24.9 samsung toolPRO it says card not found, but when I run samsung tool 20.5 it works fine.

I also got LG on my Z3x box and the LG tool works fine, just the sammy PRO tool does not work

when I bought it , it did say it was samsung pro activated but its not.

so my questions are...

is the samsung tool 20.5 the OLD version?
Do I need activation to use the new PRO tool ?
If i get the new pro tool do I still need to use the 20.5 for anything?

We believe it is fair to ask customer a small payment for update to Samsung Pro version of users who bough box before 20/07/2014

what is the date for your card
check it out in shell >show card info you will know by yourself

its Feb 06, 2016

I bought the box in Feb 2016 so doesn't that mean that it should have come activated with samsung tool and the toolPRO since I bought the box after April 2015?

I bought the box with samsung and LG activation but I am thinking they only programmed samsung tool and NOT toolpro ... could that be the problem

samsung tool works great but toolPRO will not open and my box is brand new , only a few weeks old.

I would contact the seller you purchased from and see what they can do for you, open the shell and check the activation dates. Possibly, they activated the box before the April 2015 date? Would seem odd, but ive seen enough weird things happen over the years, i almost dont discount anything lol.

Ok, i missed the reply stating it was activated 2/6/16... I'd still recommend contacting the seller. Hopefully it wasnt a ebay purchase, thats where i see most people have problems is with ebay sellers..

yeah it was ebay! but ebay/paypal have easy return policy and paypal's is 180 days! i have an outstanding record with them both , thousands of transactions and rarely an issue.

the ebay seller has 100% feedback so I sent them a message but I won't here from them till tonight.

but I am correct in that if you buy a box after Apr. 2015 (which I did, my box was bought Feb 2016) you SHOULD be able to have access to both the regular samsung tool and the toolPRO ...correct?

Yes sure your card must be activated . After date 20.7.2014 every new box practivated. Contact your seller.
