Requirements

• A Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with XXLRG firmware installed

• Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.
  • For backup tips, check our guides on how to sync your data to the cloud and how to create local backups of your mobile data.
• Download the following files:
  • ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM.zip, 1.5 MB)
  • Superuser package (SuperSU-Busybox-Installer.zip, 1.2 MB)

Instructions

1. Copy the CWM.zipto the external SD card of your phone.
2. Copy the SuperSU-Busybox-Installer.zipto the internal storage of your phone.
3. Switch your phone off.
4. Reboot it into Recovery Mode. Press the Volume Up key, Home button, and the Power button at the same time until the display turns on. To navigate in recovery, use the Volume keys to scroll up/down and the Power key to select options.
5. From the main recovery menu, select the Apply Update From External Storage option. Locate the CWM.zip file and confirm the installation. The phone will then boot into ClockworkMod Recovery. It’s touch-based so navigate and select options using the screen.
6. In the ClockworkMod Recovery menu, select the Install ZIP From SD Card option. Afterwards, select the Choose ZIP From SD Card option and locate the SUPERSU-Busybox-Installer.zip to flash it.
7. Confirm the installation by selecting Yes – Install SUPERSU-Busybox-Installer.zip on the screen that will follow.
8. Once flashing is done, your phone will already be rooted. Go back to the main recovery menu and select Reboot System Now to reboot your phone.
9. Open SuperSU application from your app drawer and update the su binary.
