how to differentiate between software or hardware problem in this set ?

the problem in imei null and baseband unknown.

modem not working, need to fix modem first, then restore imei

just use search button. you will find 100+ same problem and solution.

I ve plenty of this N900 imei Null/Null.

The problem comes and go.
I loaded many different stocks even same region firmware, still the same. sometimes ok sometimes Null/Null.

hardware problem then, try rehot baseband chip.

goto hardware repair section.

Hi master,
After Test All version In N900 then change Base band chip same problem also i changed EMMC chip problem exist!!!
Whats the matter?
I do anything to do...same as before..
Anybody have Good Solution?
