Arrow N910T Android 5.0.1 imei Repair without Downgrade.

Here is how to Repair imei on Note 4 T-Mobile Android 5.0.1 without downgrading the whole system.

1/ Flash NK4 Modem from here http://www.mediafire.com/download/77...2bft/modem.bin

2/ Reset MSL and unlock ONLY with Z3X.

3/ Flash OD6 Modem from here http://www.mediafire.com/download/6p...a3c4/modem.bin

4/ Now write your cert. You should be OK by Now.

P.S Flash Modem using Odin, and select CP if you are using Odin 3, or select Phone if you are using Odin 1.85.

P.S Don't rename Modem.bin, otherwise Odin will fail flashing.

Why not just write the CERT while the modem is downgraded... then after everything is done write the OD6 modem back? Is there something I'm missing about using that scenario?

Unless you write it via UART? Or write it via usb...by this I do not mean AT RILL

i am talking about USB. You can't write by UART if you don't reset MSL, and you can't reset MSL unless you downgrade to NK4.

I think the problem is that on Lollipop for this model the MSL isnt being reset, or its looking in the wrong spot for the MSL address. Im sorry for the vague response, im not around phones nearly as much as i used to be.

Yup that's correct, The MSL address seem to be in different location on the Lollipop.
@Blang the only option to reset MSL is downgrade to 4.4.4.
by the way MSL Reset works on N910A on 5.0.1 without downgrade.

As a matter of fact there is no enable cp logging in the od6 recovery. I am going to try the modem downgrade/upgrade method on another note 4 on od6 tomorrow when I am in the office. This one has been tested with over and over with and different modems, efs, etc has been flashed to it which could be the reason the method isnt working.
On a side note its the exact same issue for the n915t on lollipop as well.

Almost forgot, when you downgrade the modem to NK4 you have a nk4 baseband but the IMEI is null/null on my test phone if that is a hint to what is going on.
Your imei should remain intact, that maybe the reason you couldn't reset MSL, or write the cert.
