Problem with S5230 unlock after update - GSM-Forum

Hello,

I have 2 pcs of Samsung S5230 that hungs on log after try to unlock.

After connect phone and press unlock, Z3x detects phone and put it in download mode, than unlock fail and phone hungs on samsung logo.

I solved 2 pcs flashing with Multiloader and then unlocking with another tool.

Please, check last update and solve this problem, please.

Yes I can same problem with S5230 and S5260 "DOWNLOAD MODE"......... Please fix new update.....

The same problem here. Flashing of phone helped for me.

if you use 2-1 cable - check checkbox on settings model "2-in-1".

2 in 1 was selectet, even alogo 1 and 2 tried withoud success.

After flash all was fine, but unlock was done via "download mode" and a correct flash files must be selected.
In older sw versions was done via "Boot Loader" mode.

Uncheck the option USE SERVER and retry!

Still having problems with unlocking.

Have to reflash so that apps file is the same as FW, in order to unlock. Customers don't like having their phones reflashed and losing info. And yes, we don't backup info from customers' phones, you don't know what's on the phone.

In old version, was unlock algo really fine. No need to flash phone. No disapointed customers...

Let me give you an idea if you are not happy with s5230 unlock procedure
what you can do is
just select S5260 as model and click on read code it will calculate the codes for you...

For S5230 you can select S5230 and then read codes

But in new version if you select s5230 it ask for the flash files and if you put wrong files into firmware section your phone will get stuck on samsung logo after unlock.
Although i have done some of my fones with the new version with any of file selected and my fones got unlocked and did not got stuck on samsung logo.
But if anyone is facing any problem with it
they can use the easy way
JUST SELECT MODEL:S5260
USE USB CABLE
CONNECT YOUR PHONE
CLICK ON READ CODE OPTION
THATS IT
YOU WILL GET CODES IN SECONDS
just put them in and your fone is UNLOCKED
