Root for g870a?

I have not done this phone yet but had a customer ask about it so I started to look into it. What are you guys doing for root on this phone on 5.1.1? Is it possible to just downgrade the modem and use towelroot then wipe EFS and white cert? Then flashback the correct modem?

Or if there was another way could someone please enlighten me. Thanks for the help guys

Correct but i dont thibk i can use *#0808# to enable Dm+acm+abd in 5.1.1 for g870a . And I believe booting into recovery to enable cp logging is also disable or at least it is on the regular s5 att model. Again I have never flashed this phone so I'm hoping that I am wrong but from what I have read I believe this is the case

*#0808 is not disabled on any samy phone bro.
if it doesn't let you dial those codes is because someone was playing around and damage.
You can flash CSC file and should enable that.

You are correct. I miss read on some other posts about S5 and S5 Active. Thanks for taking the time to answer, I'm very new to all of this and there's so much information sometimes the different models and procedures get mixed up LOL.
