S3 9305 LTE 4.3 UNLOCK help reqd - GSM-Forum

Hi

Does anybody have any good info on how to unlock s3 LTE 4.3

I think I am doing it correct from what I've read but it won't work.

I am using standard usb lead not rj45
Phone is rooted using cf auto root.
I am pressing new security, reset EFS
I get bypass msl.. Error

Downgrade to Samsung tools 16.9 and make esf repair and restore imei and network settings.

Why would you reset efs? By doing so you lost your serial number.

Yet another bypass msl error. It's about time Blang did something about this.

I always update to the latest version thinking they fixed this bug but it never is so I have to revert to 16.8

I'm offering a solution to you, is up to you to make it or not, but I already unlock that phone sometime ago. Read this post if you are interested on fixing the phone.

Reset efs will unlock the phone and also clean your imei to 00 but can be restored after, all models I unlock s3 and s4 Knox is with 16.9

Thanks for the info.

I managed to restore imei and serial by by using backed up files in Z3s directory.

I am back to working phone with serial / imei and 4G works to.

I will try info provided hopefully will work,

Unlocked by 16.9, now no service.

Restore the imei then reboot
Repair the network settings then reboot again.

Tried what you said, didnt work still had no service

I gave up in the end as I had sold phone. Restored to factory and purchased unlock code,
