Thanks for your replies.

I have re-flashed the phone with 4.3, done a network & imei repair successfully, but still will not detected any sim cards. its not hardware fault I know for certain.

Any more suggestions please?

thanks

Bro you suppose to use z3x newest version. To get rid from any problem always backup efs. Try to get efs from working i9300. It will help. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. No it does not ask for pin code. When i try to select Network manually it says "insert simcard" even though the simcard is in the phone. When there is no simcard and I swipe the screen down from top, in the information page it says No Simcard. But when I put the simcard in the phone, it does not display the message, so it knows the simcard is inserted but in manual network selection it says no simcard and display "emergency calls only"
I am sure its unlocking which have caused the problem. What is the use of backup .bin file if it can not be used to repair?

Really annoyed
thanks

check ur baseband , if not good make full flashe if u are sure this is caused by unloking
u can solve it ... , i allways solve this by downgrading to 4.2.2 --->repaire all damaged parts ( efs ,serial, imei ,network ...) ---> test phone manuel --->upgrade to 4.3

mybe u will need this file i9300_repair_efs.tar - Download - 4shared - Sanjeev Chauhan

Many thanks for your help and replays

Finally managed to fix it, did a lot of things but finally I think this is the process which worked for me:

1. erase EFS
2. Tick Repair Network, IMEI (originsl) and S/N (Orginal)

Wait until phone reboots, all worked fine.

Once again thanks for your help, no thanks to @support
