I don’t know if this helps. I had trouble unlocking S5830 today. Different computer so I can’t post log and it’s only from memory:
I tried many times to unlock the S5830 using direct unlock and selecting old and new security with no success. I clicked apps, devopment and selected ‘USB debugging’ as per help instructions. Phone was not detected and would not unlock.
I unplugged phone entered *#7284#, USB, DIAG (as directed from other tool), reconnected phone, which was found by computer. Selected New Security, Direct Unlock and phone went through like a dream and is now unlocked.
I’m not sure what happened. Maybe someone with more experience will understand it. I may have missed some steps but we are really busy on Saturdays and I spent far too long on this phone but eventually unlocked it.
