Samsung 3G/2G Tool 11.8 Install Failure. HELP - GSM-Forum

Symptom:
Open the samsung tool, the software will close by itself after 1 second.

Here's how I install the software:

1. Fresh install Windows 7 64 or 32bit (I tried both)

2. Install MX-box software (mobileEx) for the Card reader driver
(If I just install the z3x shell, the card reader can not be found, I don't know why)

3. Install z3x shell

4. Download Samsung tool 11.8 from website and install it

5. plug in z3x usb dongle, and try with z3x to check activation

6. open samsung tool. it will pass the dongle check, but will closed after the software fully started up.

7. the dongle can not be found by the system. either re-launch samsung tool or z3x shell will not find the dongle. pull and replug will solve the problem, but samsung tool will still close by itself.

Please help.

What about drivers of dongle ?

Did you install properly ?

driver of dongle, you mean the Smart card reader right?

I can't find the driver for that one.

The Smart card reader driver included in the mxbox seems work with this reader I have,

that's why I always install MXbox first.

The problem is, all other tools works, like LG 2G and LG 3G and Samsung 2G tools.

Only the Samsung 3G tools will quite by itself right after it opens.

Please HELP ME~

I actually never have the smart card driver set up correctly.

But the z3x shell can read my account infor, and LG tools works.

what is the correct driver for the smart card in Win7 32bit?

Solved the problem by myself

For all who might have this problem in future:

When you install Samsung 2G tools, rename the directory to another name.

other wise 3G tools and 2G tools will be installed in one folder, which will cause problem.
