With this firmware you have to use jig.

Otherwise flash your set and then you will be able to use keys to turn it into download mode.

use download mode jig
it easy to download mode

you can make..use 300k-301k ohms resistor

Recovery Mode of is usually used for hacking , testing and development. The most common use of recovery mode is for updating the boot type of the devices. For example you can use recovery mode to actually Check boot into recovery mode in android devices:
How to boot the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 into Recovery mode

Note: This key process can be used for android devices without camera buttons.
In order to boot Samsung Galaxy S I9000 into recovery mode you should press the volume up button+Power button+Home button (located at middle). So the process should be:
Step 1. Turn your phone off.
