just root the phone and select p7500 in the program and make direct unlock; your phone surelly will be unlocked.
Tested by me today for one unit.
And it was world first for z3x as I take a look on the forum :p

i have tab 8.9 ( p7300 ) with version 3.2 , i have install root like steps indidcate in this link :

all is done but when i try to unlock tab by selecting p7500 , i get this info :

rootage problem is doed android version ,, or wath s ? tell me if root work proply in android 2.3.6 ???

problem solved ,, no need to downgrade just finish root process with superuser and all will be ok in unlock process

how to finish superuser process , i already install it and busybox ...

how do u enter recovery menu

UNLOCK INSTRUCTIONS:
Phone must be rooted!
If the software can't root the phone automatically,
then you must root your device manually.
1. Power on the phone.
2. Enable 'USB debugging' in 'Settings'-'Developer options' for Android 4.0 - 4.1.2 or
