This is for old firmware versions, new ones >7.0.0 have the adb option removed, so don't waste your time.
Also, the instructions are wrong, first you have to enter download mode by Vol Down + Home + Power, release all then press Home twice.
Finally hold Vol Down + Power only for about 5 seconds then release power only till the menu appears.

Ok, I got it...

1)Maintenance Mode/5)Enable USB Debugging.
2)Download Mode/Reset FRP_React_EE
3)Once it starts "Waiting for ADB" let it boot to recovery/Factory reset/Reboot

Hopefully Your computer recognises the ADB before time runs out and Z3X box handles the rest!

4)It will ask if you want to restore original kernel and I selected Yes.

And the rest is history...

Operation: Reset FRP/React/EE
Selected model: SM-G930V
Selected port: COM5 Z3X BOX Serial Port
Software version: 30.8

Checking local file... OK
Searching server... OK
Compare local and server file... OK (up to date)
Searching USB Flash interface... COM3 detected
Setup connection... OK
Reading data from phone... OK
Sending data to phone... OK
Waiting ADB device... OK
Reading phone info...
Model: SM-G930V
Android version: 6.0.1
Product code:
Phone version:
PDA version: G930VVRU4API3
CSC version: G930VVZW4API3
CSC country code: USA
CSC sales code: VZW
HW version:
Phone SN: RF8H92MXE1J
Chip name: MSM8996
Modem board:
Security patch: 2016-10-01
RF cal date:
IMEI:
Checking Super user right... true
Erasing FRP... OK
Checking local file... OK
Searching server... OK
Compare local and server file... OK (up to date)

Firmware version G930V-VRU4API3 v6.0.1 is considered "old", but newer ones starting with VRU4BQxx v7.0.0 DO NOT have the ADB-enable option in the maintenance menu, so you must use either a combination or eng-boot to enable adb. This will soon be closed with the introduction of the new RMM security which works independantly from OEM-Unlock... basically it won't let you flash anything else but official stock firmware ... it's gonna be a bitch !! FYI
