flash engmodem bit5 and report back on how it went. I find it strange haven't seen ANYONE on Z3X forums posting a successful log for S8/S8+ or Note 8 SPR unlock by server.

Any Eng file for u5 I didn't find any and also the firmware is a bit rare for u5
So I am bit scared Is it OK to flash Eng file for this security version.
I don't want a brick and a gun shot by my customer

you can download firmware from sammobile and combination for u5 is here. its 7.0 but should work for you

and after that read codes, then full flash and enter code.

No problem?
It is sprint device so no code will work it should be direct unlock.

1) flash this eng modem bit 5 with this patched odin
2) direct unlock with z3x
3) restore stock modem or full flash

Are you serious? Not trying to pick here, but there are MANY posts of successful direct unlock S8/S8+/N8 from sprint. All versions up to U5 included. As for specific server side, here is a S9 log for you... If you want S8 log I can post those too... All direct unlock with Z3X

If it doesn't work then it cannot be unlocked by server. Z3x just bs didn't that it, you'll notice nobody posted a successful log yet for n950u,g955u,g950u sprint by server
