Member: 2596262 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | SM-N9005 unlock question I got my z3x box new (ordered from fonefunshop) and installed and registered it etc. Now I am trying to unlock my N9005 with it. i followed the steps up until "Activate Diag from Repair" tab. The phone rebooted and now shows factory mode. What now? Which of the 7 million cables that came with the box do i use? or do i still use the normal usb cable? when connected with the usb cable i get no diagnostic port showing up in the sofware which i am supposed to choose? it only shows COM3 Opticon OPL/CRD. Instructions say "install drivers if needed". Which drivers? From where? In my device manager i got a "Unknown USB Device (device descriptor request failed)" showing up. Please help. I'm running Win10x64 btw |

Member: 2596262 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | sooo... i checked and reconnected everything etc. when i connect my phone in factory mode via USB the pc installs it, it shows up as Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite device. Now i got another device under other that is labeled as USB Serial Port. I assume thats supposed to be the diagnostics port? Windows can't find any drivers for it though. Checked automatic and the z3x folder.... can i manually install a samsung diagnostic port? there are several to choose from however: i got two of each -Samsung Android USB Diagnostic Serial Port (DM), (WDM) and (WMC) and Modem Diagnostic Serial Port and Port v2 |

Member: 2596262 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | so is it ok to use the normal USB cable? or do i need to use one of the "service cables". Should the diagnostig port show up/install after connecting the phone in factory mode? |

Reading IMEI... OK IMEI: xxx Unlocking... OK Reseting... OK Unlock done Done with Samsung Tool PRO v.25.9 Is this how its supposed to go? i thought i had to stay in factory mode cause the phone automatically entered it after rebooting with Activate Diag??? |
