I unlocked G925P on 6.0.1 it also supports your phone.
1- root the phone
2- Unlock it by Z3X PRO (if after reboot not worked do these steps below)
A- download Galaxy tools from google store
B- Open Galaxy tools > IOTHIDDENMENU > TestMode Menu > UE SETTING & INFO > [1] SETTING > [1] PROTOCOL > [4] GCF > [1] GSM/(E)GPRS/WCDMA GCF ON
C- Then restart phone must work. if not work it do unlock it another time it is work perfectly.

OP: Thanks for this thread.

I was discouraged because there hadn't been any updates in a very long time, so I started playing. I successfully unlocked an s8, s8 plus, s9, and note 8 using combination files, then unlocking as a g930p. I think on the Note 8 I had to unlock as a 920p.

This thread is still very relevant and I am currently working on finding the solution to s9 plus.
