Friends this is where I'm at flashed with G935a combination file and then unlock worked. The phone now says G935A , but now I can't flash back to G935P stock any ideas

Follow this carefully...
Flash Rev-5 combi (it will show ATT which is fine)
Unlock
Reflash with Rev-5 full stock, preferably the "U" firmware (less bloat-ware)
Must try both normal and patched Odin for both flashes.

i used chimera with engroot.

Interesting. Even Chimera can unlock but not z3x that is nuts. But good to know thank you

I think this Binary will eligible for your current binary version.
Its BL2 Factory binary and your stock binary also has BL2.

Yes. Flash bin 2 combination and then unlock. I tried and it work fine

I want to confirm this, but I don't have N950 sprint model.
But I have seen many successful unlock information in this forum.
Hence I ADVISED to you. Not instruction. So I mentioned "THINK",
